Control catalog filters

Find out how to manage which filters are shown and how they behave during a product search.

May 27, 2025

Overview

Optimize product discovery by tailoring which catalog filters appear when customers browse or search the catalog. You can use the filter controls to hide out-of-stock products from a search, or show only stocked (in-house) items, for example.

Follow these steps to manage your catalog filters.

Manage catalog filters

1. Select Boost from the navigation menu, then the Filters tab.

2. Find a filter and enable or disable it using the Toggles

Understand the options

Use Display Status to select which filters are available when a customer is searching or browsing the catalog.

  • If a filter is active, a customer can see and use the filter in the catalog.
  • If a filter is inactive, a customer won't be able to see it or use it in the catalog.

Use Apply on Search to automatically apply a filter during a search.

  • If activated, the filter will be automatically applied to the search. Customers can remove the default filters.
  • If deactivated, no filters will be applied to a search. Customers can see complete, unfiltered search results.
