Chat with your sales representative

Find out how to chat through the app with your supplier's salespeople.

Overview

You can Chat with your sales representative through the app to confirm orders, accept substitutions, or just say hello! 

Chat can require a one-time setup, depending on your supplier:

  • National Broadline suppliers (Sysco, US Foods, etc.) are NOT available for chatting over Chat, since you are not ordering from a live salesperson or team.
  • Integrated suppliers are already connected to you—feel free to use Chat right away!

     Tip: An integrated supplier is indicated by a teal, circular arrow next to their name.

     
  • Non-integrated suppliers (suppliers who have not yet set up a supplier account with Cut+Dry) will require the setup steps in this article.

Note: Screenshots shown were taken from the mobile app. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.

 

Follow these steps to add your non-integrated supplier to Cut+Dry Chat.


Determine how your supplier is connected to Cut+Dry

  1. On the Place Order screen, select the three dots next to the supplier's name, and choose Edit Supplier.
  2. Confirm how your supplier is connected to you (via EmailText Message, Fax, or Website) based on the checked boxes.

Result

Tip: More than one box may be checked; a supplier can be connected in multiple, simultaneous ways.
 
  • If Email or Text Message is checked: Stop here. Your Chat was set up to function as soon as your supplier verified their email or mobile number. Select Chat from the navigation menu to begin chatting!
  • If only Fax or Website is checked: Stay on this screen and continue to the next section of this article.
 

Enable Chat 

  1. Check either the Email and Text Message boxes, and fill out your sales representative's contact information.

    Tip: If you select both email and text, your sales rep will be contacted in both ways with every Chat message and order sent.

     
  1. If you have multiple locations, and each has a different sales rep:
    1. Select the specific Location(s) from the dropdown menu.
    2. Select the +Add another link to add contact info for your other location(s), then Save.

Result

Cut+Dry will reach out to your supplier at that email address or mobile number to confirm the communication link. Select Chat from the side menu to begin chatting with them.
