Place an order with a supplier
Find out how to place an order (or save a draft of an order, for later) with one of your added suppliers.

Overview
While placing an order through the app is generally straightforward, the ordering interface may look different depending on whether you're shopping with a supplier who has or has not directly integrated with Cut+Dry:
- For direct integration and national broadline (Sysco, US Foods, etc.) suppliers: You are able to order from your order guide(s) or search from the supplier's whole catalog.
- For other suppliers: You are able to order items you have added to your order guide or manually add them on.
Note: Screenshots shown were taken from an Android phone. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.
Place an order with an integrated supplier
The ordering interface
- Order Guide/Catalog view toggler: Switch back and forth between ordering from your existing order guide(s) and the supplier's full catalog.
- Item search button: Search for an item within either the order guide or catalog.
- Item filter button: Filter items by section or category, or customize your item sorting.
- Section (or category) tabs: Navigate quickly through the item list by its grouped categories of items.
- Banner alerts: View important information that is customized and updated by your supplier sales rep.
- Order guide dropdown: Swap between your locations or saved order guides (e.g., your normal menu, a happy hour menu, regular bar supplies, etc.) for ordering convenience.
- Saved drafts button: View order drafts; items added to your cart that are not submitted as an order are automatically saved as draft orders for 30 days.
- Cart checkout button: Select to complete your transaction.
- If using the mobile app, open the side menu by selecting the three lines.
- From the side navigation menu, select Place Order.
- Select the supplier you want to order from.
- Select which location you are ordering for, if applicable.
- If you have multiple order guides, choose the guide you wish to order from in the dropdown menu.
- Choose your items and quantities from the list.

- Optionally, toggle from the order guide view to the catalog view if you wish to add items not displayed on your order guide.
- Select the Shopping Cart when ready to check out.
- Review your order details and edit the Delivery Date, if desired.
- elect Submit Order.
Result
Your order has been placed! If you need to edit or cancel the order, please contact your supplier sales rep for assistance.
Place an order with a non-integrated supplier
The ordering interface
- Item search button: Search for an item within either the order guide or catalog.
- Item filter button: Filter items by section or category, or customize your item sorting.
- Order guide dropdown: Swap between your locations or saved order guides (e.g., your normal menu, a happy hour menu, regular bar supplies, etc.) for ordering convenience.
- Add New Item button: Manually add an item to the order that is not in your order guide.
- Cart checkout button: Select to complete your transaction.
- Saved drafts button: View order drafts; items added to your cart that are not submitted as an order are automatically saved as draft orders for 30 days.
- Open the side menu by selecting the three lines in the upper-left corner.
- From the side menu, select Place Order.
- Select the supplier you want to order from.
- Select which location you are ordering for, if applicable.
- If you have multiple order guides, choose the guide you wish to order from in the dropdown menu.
- Choose your items and quantities from the list.
- Optionally, select Add New Item to add an item not displayed on your order guide.
- Select the Shopping Cart when ready to check out.
- Review your order details and edit the Delivery Date, if desired.
- Select Submit Order.
Result
Your order has been placed! Please note that orders through integrated suppliers are processed manually by your sales rep. If you need to edit or cancel an order, please contact your supplier sales rep for assistance. For more information, refer to Chat with your sales rep.
Save or resume a draft order
Tip: Items added to your cart that are not submitted as an order are automatically saved as draft orders for 30 days.
- Open the side menu by selecting the three lines in the upper-left corner.
- From the side menu, select Place Order.
- Select the supplier you want to order from.
- Select which location you are ordering for, if applicable.
- Select the Saved drafts icon.
- Select the draft you wish to resume.
Result
The items from your draft shopping cart are now added to your shopping cart. Feel free to shop for additional items or check out!
