Place a customer order via Upload Order
Find out how to place an order on behalf of a customer by filling out and uploading a spreadsheet.

Overview
You can now place an order for your customer using a spreadsheet. Simply download our spreadsheet template, fill it out, and upload.
Follow these steps to use Upload Order.
Place an order via Upload Order
- Select Customers from the navigation menu.

- Find and select your customer.
Tip: You can search by Salesperson, use the customer filters, or start typing into the search box.

- Select the Upload Order option.

- Download the template file.Tip: The downloaded template file will be named the same as the active order guide—this is not a requirement. You can upload a filled-out spreadsheet with any filename.

- Fill out the template file using order guides and/or the catalog to source the correct Item Code, UoM, and Quantity for each item.
Tip: All 3 columns are required fields.

Tip: If you do not see the item code, maximize your browser window to ensure all informational columns are visible.
Restrictions
Same item code, different units: Even if an item is available in different units, you can NOT add the same item code twice to the spreadsheet. You will need to add-on the second item manually when reviewing your uploaded order.
- Save your filled-out spreadsheet and select Upload Order again to upload your saved file.
Tip: Uploading an order will overwrite any items you currently have in your shopping cart, each time you upload a spreadsheet.
- Select Next.
Result
Your spreadsheet upload will either successfully upload or show an error message.

Error message
Tip: To troubleshoot any errors, select Download error file to review your specific error messages. You can correct the errors and Retry Upload of the corrected spreadsheet.

- Review your order summary and make adjustments, if desired, by selecting Edit Order. Then, Submit Order.
Tip: From here:
- Your cart contains the items from the spreadsheet, and the app will work the same as if you had added the items any other way.
- You can add or remove items as normal, using the catalog or an order guide.
- Using Upload Order again will overwrite all items you currently have in your shopping cart.
