Add or edit team members

Find out how to add, change, and remove accounts for your team.

Overview

When you add a new team member to Cut+Dry, you assign them one of four roles: AdminSalespersonAccounts Receivable, or Dispatcher. This role changes their view, access, and visibility within the app—and can be changed at any time.

 Tip: For more detailed information on the differences between the roles, refer to Role permissions matrix for distributors.
 
  • Admin accounts can view and access everything.
  • Accounts Receivable and Dispatcher accounts primarily access their sections of the app (Pay or Track).
  • Salesperson accounts can be restricted to see only their associated customers or can view all.
Tip: Because sales reps are usually linked within your ERP, some processes are different when managing them. Look out for special notes in the instructions below!
 

Follow these steps to manage your own team members within the app.


Add a team member

  1. Select Settings, then Team from the navigation menu.
  2. Select Add User.
  3. Enter the new team member's information into the fields.
    Tip: Either a valid mobile number or email address is required for someone to set up a Cut+Dry account—this phone number or email address will be their login credential.
     
  4. Choose the team member's role within the app from the dropdown menu.
    Tip: For more information on roles and the access granted, refer to the Roles permission matrix for distributors.
     
  5. For salesperson roles only: Select or clear the checkbox to Restrict user to only view customers assigned to them.
  6. Optionally, select or remove the user's related warehouse location(s).
  7. Select Invite User.

Result

Your new team member will be sent an invite to the mobile number and/or email address supplied for them, giving them a link for the app and to connect to your account.

Please note that invitations expire; after 14 days, you will need to Reinvite a team member who has not accepted their invitation.

 

Reinvite a team member

Tip: Invitations you send expire within 14 days. If your team member does not sign up within that period, you will need to reinvite them!
 
  1. Select Settings, then Team from the navigation menu.
  2. Find the team member, either by scrolling or using the search box.
  3. Select the pencil icon on the line with their name.
  4. Select Resend Invite.

Result

The team member will be resent the same invite email or text message with a link to sign up to Cut+Dry.

 

Edit a team member's role

Tip: There are four possible roles for a team member. For more information on the access granted to each role, refer to the Roles permission matrix for distributors.
 
  1. Select Settings, then Team from the navigation menu.
  2. Find the team member, either by scrolling or using the search box.
  3. Select the pencil icon on the line with their name.
  4. Select a different Role from the dropdown menu.
  5. For salesperson roles only: Select or clear the checkbox to Restrict user to only view customers assigned to them.
  6. Select Save Changes.

Result

Role changes are effective immediately, though the affected user may need to log out of the app and log back in to update their access.

 

Remove a team member

For salesperson roles only: Salespersons are linked within your ERP. If you delete a sales rep in Cut+Dry but don't delete them in your ERP, they may reappear next time your ERP data synchs with the app. Please remove salespersons from your ERP before removing them in the app.

 
  1. Select Settings, then Team from the navigation menu.
  2. Find the team member, either by scrolling or using the search box.
  3. Select the pencil icon on the line with their name.
  4. Select the Remove User link.
  5. For salesperson roles only: Select another salesperson to re-assign customers to.
  6. Confirm by selecting Remove User once more.

Result

Team members removed from Cut+Dry will have their access to your account immediately revoked.

For salesperson roles only: Salespersons are linked within your ERP. If you delete a sales rep in Cut+Dry but don't delete them in your ERP, they may reappear next time your ERP data synchs with the app. Please remove salespersons from your ERP before removing them in the app.
