Overview

Edit every piece of product information in one unified location, with access to hundreds of product attributes, and use manufacturer content to enrich your product data. All editing tools are organized with helpful tooltips and guidance, making it easier to create complete, professional product listings that improve your customers' ordering experience.

Follow these steps to edit product information in Cut+Dry.

Important: Integration-Dependent Editing Capabilities

Not all product fields are editable in every Cut+Dry setup. Your editing experience depends on your specific ERP integration configuration.

  • Full Portal Control: Some distributors have complete control over product data in Cut+Dry and can edit everything directly in the portal.
  • ERP-Only Editing: Other distributors can only make permanent changes through their ERP system. Changes made in the portal may be overridden by the next ERP sync.
  • Mixed Editing: Some setups allow certain fields to be edited in the portal while others must be changed in the ERP.

To understand your specific situation and which fields you can safely edit in the portal, contact your onboarding analyst or growth manager. They can explain your integration setup and guide you on the best workflow for managing your product data.

Edit product information

1. Select Catalog from the navigation menu.

2. Use the filters or the search bar to find a specific product.

3. Select a product.

General information

The general information contains all main data about a product, including basic information, nutrition, specifications, and other data points.

1.  Click on a section to expand it, then fill out the information.

2. Click Save when you're done.

Product configuration

The product configuration fields are separate from the information fields.

1. Click Edit.

2. Make the necessary adjustments, then click Save.

Enrich your product data

Link a product from the showcase to enrich your product with manufacturer-sourced data.

1. Click Find Product Match

Tip: all product information changes must be saved before you can use the “Find Product Match” functionality.

2. Search for the product by name or SKU.

3. If you find a matching product, click Link to Catalog.

You can also link products in the Images tab of the product editing experience, or through the Showcase.

Images

1. Click on the Images tab.

2. Upload media, or select from the potential images listed by clicking on the + sign.

3. Set the media type, product state, and product facing for each image.

Media Type defines the purpose of the image, such as for product marketing, planogram setup, orlogistics. It categorizes images based on their intended use. In most cases, for Cut+Dry you'll select "Primary Image Web" for product marketing in an e-commerce environment.

Product State indicates the product's condition in the image, such as in packaging, out of packaging, or staged for display. We prioritize these images based on context to show the most relevant ones first.

Product Facing refers to the orientation of the product in the image, such as front-facing, top-down, or side-facing. This helps us determine the order in which images are shown to customers for the best viewing experience.

Pricing & Promotions

1. Click on the Pricing & Promotions tab.

2. In the promotions section, turn the toggle on to mark that product as on sale or new arrival

This will create a label in the product card and add it to a featured list in your catalog.

3. Adjust your pricing for on-sale products.

Tip: You can also send us sale price through the integration.

4. Click Save.

Product Substitutes

1. Click on the Product Substitutes tab.

2. Select Show Subs, then click on Add Substitution.

3. Find the product and click Add.

Cut+Dry will show the substitutes at checkout if the main product is out of stock. Your customer can choose to add the substitute to their cart at that point.

4. Click Save.
