Change global order setting defaults

Find out how to set the default order controls for all of your customers.

Overview

The Cut+Dry app offers you control of ordering behavior across your entire customer base, while also allowing for individual customer-specific adjustments.

Tip: Individual customer adjustments are made on a customer's Profile screen—these changes override any global defaults set according to this article. For more information, refer to Change customer-specific settings.

 

Follow these steps to set up your customer ordering setting defaults.


Change global order setting defaults

  1. Select Settings, then Orders from the navigation menu.
     
  2. Edit the fields as desired.

    Tip: If a field on this page is not editable, it is likely hard-coded from your ERP integration and cannot be manually modified. 

     
  1. Select Save Changes.
     
  2. Consider reviewing your customer accounts to override individual settings where necessary.

Review available order settings

Tip: If not otherwise stated, these settings can be overridden for a specific customer on that customer's Profile screen.
 

Order Minimum ($)

View the minimum order value for all customers.

Tip: This field shows the value set you set up with us during onboarding. Customer-level override of this setting must be enabled by Cut+Dry.
 

Cut-off Time

Establish the standard order cut-off time for all customers.

Delivery Days

Add or remove the operating days for your company.

 Tip: This field shows the value set you set up with us during onboarding. Customer-level override of this setting must be enabled by Cut+Dry.
 

Order Reminders

Toggle on emailed and/or texted order reminders according to your customized configuration parameters. For more information, refer to Configure order reminder notifications.

Override Restrictions

Select checkboxes to set global restrictions on your customers' ordering behavior.

Order Desk Email or General Email

Enter an email address to be used by the app as the sender, when email is sent to customers from your company.

Auto Order Desk Email & Auto Order Desk Phone (view only) 

Check the forwarding email and/or phone to be used when the Order Desk is enabled; emails and voicemails forwarded to these are automatically converted to draft orders.

Holidays

Add company-wide holidays to prevent customers from requesting deliveries on days your business is closed.

Tip: To create customer-specific or global holidays, select the pencil next to the holiday entry. For more information, refer to Set up a company holiday.
 

Order Discrepancy Alerts

Toggle on email notifications to your Salespersons whenever an order quantity differs from the allocated or confirmed quantity (a.k.a. "reported shortages").

Tip: Only assigned Salespersons will receive these alerts. Notifications will only go out after the ERP sends a confirmation.
 

Preserve Cart Item Order

Toggle on to have items in a customer's Cart show in the order they were added. If toggled off, Cart items are sorted by category.
