Frequently Asked Questions

Can I give my customers the forwarding email address or phone number directly?
Absolutely! Your customers can send orders directly to the assigned phone number and/or email, or send them to you.
Tip: To ensure the ordering process through Order Desk is seamless and convenient for everyone, you may need to instruct customers on how to leave voicemails for Order Desk. Consider using the following sample voicemail script, or create your own!
Hi this is <name> from <location>.
I'm calling to place an order for delivery on <day>, <date>.
Our account number is <number>.
Here's our order:
<amount> <UOM> <item>
2 cases of Granny Smith apples
20 lbs of pork butt

Can someone call my assigned phone number?
No, the phone number is only for receiving text messages.
Who on my team has access to Order Desk functions?
All of your users (any app role) can access it.
How Voicemails and Voice Memos Work?
Customers have two options:
- Record and Send a Voice Memo: Customers can record a voice memo on their phone (like an audio note) and email it to your Auto Order Desk Email.
- Forward a Voicemail to Order Desk: If a customer leaves a voicemail on your phone system, you can forward that voicemail manually to your Auto Order Desk Email. The system will transcribe and create a draft order from the audio file.
