Cut+Dry Pay integration FAQ

What can my customers do in Pay?

Your customers can:

  • Add payment information
  • Make single and batch payments
  • Set up Auto Pay
  • Download invoices and receipts
  • Invite bookkeepers to the app

What can my Accounts Receivable (AR) team do in Pay?

Your AR team can do all the same things as customers, plus:

  • Set up customers on Auto Pay
  • Capture payments on behalf of customers
  • Send out payment reminders (both automated and manual)
  • Send out statements (both automated and manual)

How does the integration work?

  • There is a direct connection via files or API that sends Cut+Dry all invoice details, including line item amounts, taxes, fees, and any other invoice-specific information.
  • This direct connection (or integration) updates:
    • Invoice payments
    • Credits due
    • Customer account status (whether on hold or removed from hold)
  • In the Pay Requirements Call, you will finalize details like:
    • Invoice terms
    • How credits appear on invoices and statements
    • Whether Cut+Dry should automatically mark invoices as paid in your ERP, or if you prefer to do this manually
    • Sync frequency

How are deposits made?

  • Deposits occur on business days—one for ACH payments and one for credit card payments.
  • You will receive two reports with each deposit:
    1. The Payment Initiated Report shows which customers initiated payments via:
      • The portal
      • Auto Pay
      • Manual capture by your AR team
    2. The Payout Report details the funds deposited into your account.

Tip: There are separate reports for ACH and credit card payments.
