Change your personal notification settings

Find out how to change which app notifications you personally receive over email, text message, or mobile app push.

Overview

Cut+Dry can be set up to send different notifications to your email address, to your mobile phone (via SMS), or to push to your mobile phone notifications. 

Tip: Order reminder emails work differently than these notifications—team members are signed up by an Admin on your account, and these cannot be disabled by individual users using this process. Refer to Sign up team members for order reminder emails for more information.

 

Note: Screenshots shown were taken from the mobile app. However, all information in this article is applicable regardless of how you access the app: via mobile phone, tablet, or the desktop web portal.

 

Follow these steps to change your notifications.


Change your personal notification settings

  1. Select Settings, then Profile from the navigation menu.

    Tip: For more information on the other fields on this screen, refer to Change your personal profile settings.

     
  2. In the Notification section, select or clear checkboxes for the notifications you wish to receive, then scroll down to Save.

    Tip: If you do not have a phone number already saved in the Mobile Phone field on this same screen, the SMS checkboxes will not be available for selection.

     

Review the notification types

While all users can see all types of notifications, several of the notifications will only work based on the role assigned to your account. (For example, it's not possible for an Employee to receive invoice-related notifications).

Tip: Order reminder emails work differently than these notifications—team members are signed up by an Admin on your account, and these cannot be disabled by individual users using this process. Refer to Sign up team members for order reminder emails for more information.

 
  • For more information about user roles, refer to the Team member role permissions matrix.
  • To change a team member's role, refer to Manage your team members.
  • To unsubscribe from tracking-related notifications, you can click the "unsubscribe" link within a tracking email or reply with "UNSUB" to a tracking text message.
Notification type Condition for notification
New orders When you personally submit an order
Order viewed by supplier When a supplier views an order you personally submitted
Order confirmed by supplier When a supplier confirms an order you personally submitted
Chat message When you have a new Chat message in the app
Invoice payments When an invoice is ready for payment
Price tracking alert When an item you have tracked has changed in price
Delivery scheduled When the driver is on their way—check your order tracking link!
Order arriving When the driver is 10-15 minutes away from your location
Arrival confirmation When the driver is at your location
Order delivered When the driver has unloaded the order and left your location
Updated delivery time When the driver is on the way but has encountered an issue (e.g., traffic, road construction, etc.) that will change the previously quoted arrival time
Delivery issues When the driver has encountered an issue that prevents delivery completion (e.g., no one was at the restaurant to receive the order) and they will reach out to you with more information
