Using Cut+Dry as a sales rep
Get up and running in Cut+Dry in 5 easy steps. You can move through them all at once or take it one step at a time - whatever works best for you!
Create your account & get familiar with the platform
Everything begins with setting up your account. You’ll get access to the Distributor Portal where you can manage customers, products, and orders in one streamlined interface.
Adjust your profile settings and notification preferences.
Tip: set your password when you first log in to your account.
Download the Cut+Dry mobile app to be able to manage your customers and orders on the go. As you go through the steps, try to do it on mobile as well.
Your customer list is the heart of Cut+Dry—it’s where you’ll spend most of your time as a sales rep. When you need to check in on a customer, place an order, see their pricing, or review recent activity, this is where you'll go.
Start exploring your Customer List. The customer list is automatically synced with your company’s ERP, so you’ll see all the accounts you're responsible for. Use filters to quickly find specific customers by name, status, or tags—spending time here helps you navigate faster and work smarter.
Then, explore a Customer Profile. This profile is your hub for managing each customer’s activity and needs. Whether you’re checking a draft, reviewing invoices, or starting a new order, it all happens here.
Tip:use this time to verify and update your customers' information. An updated profile will make your life easier when that customer is live and ordering online.
Order guides are one of the most important tools in Cut+Dry—and where most customers place their orders. These guides start with data pulled directly from your ERP, showing the items your customer already buys. From there, you can customize and manage the order guide in Cut+Dry to make ordering fast and easy.
What You Can Do with Order Guides:
Add or remove products
Rearrange the order of items
Create multiple guides for different menus, locations, or categories
Set specific configurations
Order guides are fully collaborative and personalized to fit how your customers like to buy. You and your customers can make changes to the order guides.

One of the best ways to get comfortable with Cut+Dry is by placing an order yourself. You can submit orders on behalf of your customers or track the ones they’ve submitted on their own. Either way, Cut+Dry gives you full visibility into what’s been ordered, when it was placed, and where it is in the process—right from your dashboard.
Pick an order you would place in your ERP today, and try placing that same order in Cut+Dry instead. This helps you understand the process and how orders flow through the system.
Now that you’ve explored the basics, it’s time to put it into action—invite your first customer to Cut+Dry. This is where everything comes together: your customer will get access to their order guide, be able to place orders, and you’ll see the entire workflow in motion.
Choose one of your active customers and send them an invite directly from their customer profile.
Once they accept, you can walk them through placing their first order and using their order guide.
Tip: to keep it manageable, we recommend inviting up to 10 customers at first. Help them get set up, answer questions, and make sure they’re comfortable. Once you're confident with the process, go ahead and invite the rest of your book of business.
